It's about Captain Ramus of the Wanderer and his past history with the Psi Lords, the ones who gave him his dark psi tattoos. His past comes back to haunt Ramus as the Psi Lords want him to complete a mission for the data cartel. In the process, Ramus sees an old flame and we get our first look at the Erudites, a xenophobic race with secrets of their own.
